Volvo is building two new factories in China

Swedish car manufacturer Volvo Persunvagnar (Volvo PV) received from the Ministry of Industry of China all the necessary licenses to produce one of his models. "We had no doubt about the fact that we get a production license prior to the scheduled start of the fourth quarter of the assembly" - said the representative of Stephen Elfstrem.

Volvo is planning to expand production in China in the future. The company also builds the engine plant in Zhangjiakou (Hebei Province), and the assembly of machines in Daqing (Heilongjiang Province). However, the license for the production of these are not yet available.

On the assembly line in Chengdu will go every year 125 thousand cars. Volvo Persunvagnar, whose owner is now the Chinese Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co, 2018 is going to sell in the market of the Middle Kingdom 200 thousand cars a year. China has become the second largest market for the Swedish automaker after the United States.
